I like what I call personal technology. These are the little bits of technology that help us through our day. For me, this might be an app on my phone that lets me check the local weather radar when I need to travel or the Google mini speaker that streams my playlist when I'm painting. And although I do enjoy making art with primitive tools and materials—like with some bristles tied to the end of a stick and some oily, ground-up pigment—once in awhile I like to bring personal technology to my art-making, especially if speeds up a process. Lately, I've been using a Wacom Intuos tablet with Krita software.
