A week ago, I flew up to Portland, Maine, from New Mexico, and from there I headed across the border to Canada. I’m now at my summer studio on Campbello Island, but just barely! It takes a little while to settle in. I’ve got to get the window A/C unit installed in the bedroom (it does get hot and humid here in the Maritimes), get the Internet running (how am I posting this without it?), get the satellite TV updated (not for me, but for my mother-in-law, with whom we are living in the summers), and only THEN will I have time to unpack the studio. That’s a whole day in itself, rehanging paintings, taking off dust cloths, seeing what supplies I have on hand.
So, it’ll be another week probably before I do any serious painting and posting here, so please bear with me. In the meantime, I offer a selection of paintings from last year. Happy summer! Oh, and if you get to Eastport, Maine, this summer, don’t forget I have many paintings at Full Fathom Five, the best gallery Downeast! All my paintings there, plus the ones below, are available for purchase.

Beautiful, luminous palettes! Enjoy your time up north
Can I assume that you use a different limited palette when you’re up there?
