Hiya! Your list is well planned from experience. Excellent! As for the down coat, nope! Buy yourself a Scottish wool jumper (sweater) at a thrift shop when you get there. I’ve made many a trip to Scotland, as an artist in residence, for personal research, as well as a 15-month sabbatical, and I’ve organized/taught several study abroad trips for my students (drawing/painting on site) since my first trip in 1988. I keep going back to Scotland because it’s the best place on Earth.💓 Have a spectacular trip. I look forward to watching your site. Best wishes! Cheers!

My very short experience of Scotland in September is mostly cool with some mist. You already have this organised to a T, I think the onion theory for clothing is the best… Layers layers layers…

Enjoy the month and listen to Scottish music while painting!

Thanks for this great supply/packing list. I get too caught up in the "what ifs" and end up bringing more than I'll need or use.

I think you should squeeze that jacket in because I have a feeling that Scotland is an awful lot like Maine. And we know how Maine is!

Safe travels! Looking forward to seeing your posts and sketches.

Thanks, Susan! Alas, no room for the down coat. (: If things get serious, I’ll hunt down a thrift shop.
